What is your legacy and what is mine for you?

I have an eye for detail and I was asked by employers and colleagues to proofread in all of my jobs, long before I became trained and qualified in proof-reading and copy-editing. I am a teacher of English to speakers of other languages and I was sought out to teach English long before I became a CELTA-qualified TEFL teacher.

I have worked internationally, travelling to countries all over the globe, for most of my career, with the UK as my base. My background is sales, marketing, publishing, TV programme sales and customer service.

I have been a coach and a mentor. I incorporate the skills from these roles to bring out the best in you and your work.

I work to tight deadlines.
I have excellent organizational skills.
I work both independently and as part of a team.

I have an excellent standard of written English and an exceptional eye for detail. I will pay attention to the grammar, punctuation, continuity, your thought and intention, your style of writing and to the design and layout elements.

I copy-edit. I proofread. I work with your words. I add something or nothing.

My role is something of a magician to disappear the errors, which would distract your audience from what you have to say.

The end result is that the written copy is your own.

My role is to bring wonder to your work and to recreate your phrases so if I make a change, you would think, “yes that is exactly what I meant to say.”

"People say nothing is impossible but I can do nothing all day"
